If your father had a lot of impulse control you might be on the other end of needing to express more.

Some dads dad had a default angry mode. His favorite thing to do is yell at the TV. Never apologized for going too far.

An absent father can still influence their son. One dad picked a lot of his fathers tendencies even though he wasn’t around much. He can be implosive now. Being bullied led to keeping the peace. But grudges can be held and it leads to implosion. The military helped to be more vocal.
